Babylon A.D. - Movie Review

I don't like meaningless movie! Period!

Babylon A.D. promises so much and somehow, it manages to SHORT deliver. It has so much potential but all the characters were undeveloped. We don't even catch a glimpse of what happened to who during when at where and how! I pretty much guessed the story and when I go to watch a movie, I expects to be told the story, not guess it....hmmph.

Action wise, Babylon A.D was okay but could have been better, come on, you have Vin Diesel on board, why is he not doing what he does best? Same goes for Michelle Yeoh. Some slo-mo action would have been very impressive (oh, they did have two, one the sky thingy, nicely done, the only highlight in the movie actually - only remembered this after reading Hurley's review - shows how bad is the movie as can't even remember much right after watching it). As it is, whenever there is action, it is like, Crash Boom Bang, Thank you very much.

Story wise? I don't get it and I guess, if I go for action movie, I don't have to expect great stories but some action movies do have respectable story lines (some of Vin Diesel's movies come to mind) My take? My best friend fell asleep half way during the movie, I guess that's about sums up the interests that the movie stirs. Ok, now I can go and read the other's comments and review on this movie. If you are Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeoh's fans, it's a watchable movie, just.

Lastly, must give credit and thanks to Miu who invited me (again) and I saw Iced Nyiur (read her review here) at the exit but she was with someone, so, shy lah to disturb.
