High, Higher, Highest

This post is not written by me per se, it came about from a "forum" among a few close friends and I find this particular perception to be very captivating and should be shared.

Here goes (Thanks to Daniel Tan)

1. those who drive kancil have to apply leave to service their car
2. those who drive camry/accord, don't apply leave but get a cab or friends to pick & send them back to office and return later
3. those who drive smaller merc/BMW, get their wife or staff to pick them up
4. those who drive bigger merc/BMW, get their driver to sent their car for service
5. those who drive meserati, the service-man come to their house to service their car
6. those who drive aston martin, the service-man is air-flown from singapore to service their car at their home

The comment came about from my comments about buying branded goods, as an example, NIKE shoes, as perceived bought by different class of people :-

1st - for people who have too much money, don't know how to spend, so, pay to NIKE to have the name/logo displayed - originals from brand outlet
2nd - for people who have some money, want to enjoy some quality in life - originals from shops
3rd - for people who knows that a shoe is a shoe is a shoe, no need to pay a leg and arm for it - originals from stalls

Anyway, I believed that branded goods can only take you so far.

If you can carry yourself well, with certain air of dignity and poise, you will look good in anything. If you are uncouth, even Giorgio Armani can't do much for you image, though it might help to soften the impact but it is just different. Some people just look good in any clothes.

There were a phrase where a person must wear the garments, not the garments wear the person. Look around, you will notice some wear the garments, whereas some is worn by the garments.

Interesting....
